Guyana to attend regional forum on aviation industry

As part of continued efforts to improve its aviation sector, Guyana will join Caribbean leaders in Barbados to discuss opportunities and key challenges in aviation across the Caribbean.

Minister within the Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Annette Ferguson will join aviation experts, senior airline and airport executives, and other government officials at the upcoming Aviation Day for the Caribbean on June 29th at the Hilton Barbados Resort in Bridgetown.

The leaders will examine key challenges of the aviation industry and identify how to address them collaboratively.

The event is hosted by the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA) and the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB).

Other leaders in attendance include President of CDB, Williams Smith, Deputy Programme Manager of the CARICOM Secretariat, Pauline Yearwood, Director General of Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority, Nari Williams-Singh, Minister of Tourism and Aviation of Bahamas, Dionisio Dā€™Aguilar and CEO of the Caribbean Tourism Organisation, Hugh Riley.
