Minister Harmon receives courtesy call from Redeemed Christian Church of God

Georgetown, Guyana – (August 17, 2017) Minister of State, Mr. Joseph Harmon, today, received a courtesy call at his office at the Ministry of the Presidency from members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, International Centre (RCCG)  from Brooklyn, New York who are in here in Guyana for a ‘Make a Difference’ outreach.

During the meeting, the Minister and the team discussed a number of areas including Guyana’s pursuit of a ‘green’ economy, the impending oil and gas economy, planned infrastructural developments and the Government’s push to remove inequalities, fight poverty and improve access to social services.

This is an annual mission outreach to different countries in the Caribbean and South America and this year’s outreach will be held in Guyana. According to Pastor Bolaji Tuase, who is the Coordinator, part of the objective of the RCCG is to reach out with needed supplies to the aged group, orphanages, less privileged, prisons and related organisations.
