$21M expended by Prime Minister’s Secretariat as of August 30

– $109.2M allocated to Prime Minister’s Secretariat in 2018 Budget

Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, performing the functions of President, today during the 98th Sitting of the National Assembly, stated as of August 30, 2018, $21.4M was spent by the Prime Minister’s office on various activities.

The Prime Minister was responding to a question posed by the Opposition with regards to how much of the $109.2M allocated in (sub-head 6284 – Other, in Agency Code 02) Prime Minister’s Secretariat, Programme 021 in the 2018 Budget, has been spent as of August 30.

Prime Minister Nagamootoo explained that among other expenditures, $5M was spent on Constitutional Reform activities, $1.4M for re-upholstery and other furnishings for the PM’s office and official residence and $2.1M for printing services and payment of the stipend.

$5.5M was also expended for the establishment of community radio stations at Aishalton, Orealla and Bartica.
