DPI, Guyana, Tuesday, December 24, 2019

The boys at the St. John Bosco Boys Orphanage are smiling brighter after Minister of Public Service, Hon. Tabitha Sarabo-Halley surprised them with gifts on Christmas Eve.

The minister urged them never to let their “current positions determine what they become in life.”

“School and your education are important. You should make sure it is a priority and stay focused on your education. There are a lot of things going on the road, things that you can decide that you want to do because of what you may be seeing, but I would like to urge you to focus on your education,” Min. Sarabo -Halley stated.

She also advised them to be prepared for Guyana’s expected rapid development.

“There will be lots of opportunities for you in Guyana based on what will be happening in the education sector and the other sectors; this is due to the resources that will become available in the country. But you first have to want to develop yourself, you first have to remain focused and have a plan and goals for your life.”
