Appointment of His Excellency Mr. Ronald Donin de Rosiére as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Malta to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Malta to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, His Excellency Mr. Ronald Donin de Rosiére, today presented his letters of Credence to His Excellency President David Granger of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.

Following his accreditation, the Ambassador met with Vice President and Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Carl Greenidge. They discussed, among other issues, possible areas of cooperation and various challenges that impact the relationship between states.

The appointment of H.E. Ambassador Ronald Donin de Rosiöre will further strengthen and enhance the existing relations between the two countries.

The Order of Malta is involved in a number of humanitarian activities worldwide. It has assisted with two community development projects in Guyana, the construction of the Mercy Wing vocational centre in Sophia and of the community development centre in New Amsterdam.

Guyana and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta established diplomatic relations on May 19, 1999.
