Break and enter of the Public/Police Service Commission building

The Public/Police Service Commission wishes to inform the public that on Tuesday January 19, 2020 at about 07:10 hours, staff observed that the Commission’s office, which is located on the top flat of the De Winkle Building, was burgled.

A report was subsequently made to the Guyana Police Force and an investigation is currently in progress. Preliminary investigations have so far revealed that at least seven flash drives containing routine staff work are missing.

The Commission wishes to make it clear that the information which was circulated is not confidential nor does it relate to police promotions, or any of the matters currently before the Courts. Further, the Commission refutes the misinformation being peddled in the media.
