A report on a research survey on the use of window tint for motor vehicles, was presented to the Cabinet for review by Vice President and Minister of Public Security, Khemraj Ramjattan.

Minister of State Joseph Harmon, during his weekly post-Cabinet briefing held at the Ministry of the Presidency, explained that the research survey was conducted to facilitate a review of the present policy by which vehicles tint permits are issued.

Additionally, he said the survey was to solicit the views of citizens on the use of vehicles with tinted windows in Guyana, he noted.

The State Minister further explained that the report included the information on best practices in several countries with regard to the use of tinted windows on motor vehicles.

The Cabinet, he indicated, accepted the report and undertook to examine it in its full context before approval is granted.
