Coalition takes Region Seven

The A Partnership for National Unity and Alliance for Change Coalition has gained the most votes in Region Seven, Cuyuni-Mazaruni at General and Regional Elections just beating the main opposition, the People’s Progressive Party.

In the General Elections, APNU+AFC tallied 4817 votes while PPP got 3720. The other contesting party, the Liberty and Justice Party secured 879 votes.

At the 2015 elections, the coalition got 4599 votes and the PPP got 2981.

For the Regional Elections, APNU+AFC was able to secure 4836 votes, compared to the 3692 votes the PPP received. The JPL managed to tally 925 votes.

For the 2015 Regional Elections, the APNU+AFC tallied 4533 votes while the PPP got 2973 votes.

The total number of electors for Cuyuni-Mazaruni at the 2020 elections was 14,887 with a total of 82 stations. According to the Guyana Elections Commission, the final declaration to determine the winner of the 2020 elections should be made tomorrow.
