The second Bistro Wine & Champagne Bar officially opened recently at the MovieTowne Cineplex at Turkeyen, creating more employment opportunities for Guyanese.

Owner Ralph Persaud described the spot as something special. Persaud told the Department of Public Information (DPI), that the idea for a second Bistro came about two years ago.

“Being in the luxury industry we have an eye for detail and this is something we thought was extremely important to showcase Guyana’s beauty. The seawall is something that we all grew up with and this Bistro being in this spot enables us to take it to a different level.” Persaud said.

He explained that as Guyana’s economy expands and as it prepares for first oil, the company is looking at ways to expand its brand to both local and international customers who desire something special and different, and Guyana has just that to offer he stated.

According to Persaud, for those persons skilled in Culinary arts such as wine connoisseurs, chefs and hospitality students, the bar is an ideal space to hone and promote their skills.

The Bistro Wine & Champagne Bar offers its guests a relaxing and comfortable environment with a picturesque view of the seawalls and the Atlantic Ocean, where the choice of tea, coffee, juices, beers or a glass of any of the finest wines in the world, is just a mere order away.

The first Bistro is located at the King’s building at Middle Street, Georgetown.
