Courts spread Christmas cheer to GPHC’s pediatric ward

GINA, GUYANA, Thursday, December 2, 2016

Patients of the Paediatric (children) Ward of the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC) today were the recipients of presents as Courts Guyana Incorporated brought them goodies.

Over 30 children and toddlers  received gifts from Santa Claus and other cartoon characters including Dora, Mickey and Mini Mouse, Spiderman and Cinderella. Courts also presented the department with fans, a microwave, and kettles.

GPHC’s Public Relations Officer, Mitzy Campbell said that the hospital was very appreciative of the annual gesture from Courts. “Every year they call us, and we look forward to next year.”

Campbell noted that the gifts and the presence of Santa and the cartoon characters, “really helped raise the children’s spirit.”

Courts Director of Operations, John Standaloft, said that he looks forward to the tradition since, “this is very personal for me.” The Director noted that it is a worthwhile gesture and “the joy on the children’s faces almost bring tears to my eyes.”
