Cuban Ambassador pays courtesy call on Minister of Education …diagnostic centre schedule for August opening

(May 9, 2018)- Today the resident Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Guyana, His Excellency Narciso Reinaldo Amador Socorro paid a courtesy call on Minister of Education Hon Nicolette Henry.

During the interface Minister Henry and Ambassador Socorro committed to continue to work together for the benefit of both nations. Minister Henry expressed gratitude on behalf of the Government of Guyana (GoG) for the assistance provided by the Cubans in the setting up of the diagnostic and assimilation centre at Turkeyen.

The Ambassador disclosed that come August 2018 the centre should be fully operational since the necessary staff and furnishing will be provided by that time. Further he said that his country is willing to work and collaborate with the Guyana Government in other areas of interest.
