Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao, the Honourable Giselle Mc William, calls on Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Karen Cummings

 Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao, the Honourable Giselle Mc William, today called on Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Honourable Karen Cummings. The Foreign Minister and Minister Mc William discussed the enhancement of relations between the Co-operative Republic of Guyana and Curaçao through collaboration in the areas of tourism, the oil and gas industry, and trade.

Minister Mc William later met with Foreign Secretary, the Honourable Carl B. Greenidge. They discussed deepening trade and bilateral relations between the two countries. The Foreign Secretary provided an overview of the local economy and its expected growth.

The Minister of Economic Development is currently in Guyana on a two-day fact-finding mission to discuss trade relations and collaboration with relevant authorities and representatives from the private sector.

Guyana and the Kingdom of the Netherlands established diplomatic relations on May 15, 1970.
