Debra Cadogan laid to rest.

─ “She will be remembered for her infectious smile”- PM Nagamootoo

Prime Minister, Moses Nagamootoo today attended the funeral service of the late Debra Cadogan who served as Head of the Committees Division of the National Assembly up until the time of her passing.

In attribute to Cadogan, the Prime Minister recalled her motherly instincts, kind heart and most of all her warm smile. “What I can remember Debbie for is that Mona Lisa smile, it remains with you even after the smile is gone. She was always pleasant and kind with that permanent smile on her face.”

Prime Minister Nagamootoo said Cadogan’s passing will be mourned by all who would have known her. “I want to share the sorrow of the President, Members of Cabinet, Members of Parliament and other colleagues who would have business with the Parliament Office”.

The Leader of the Government Business in the National Assembly added that “Debra Cadogan had a good life to be celebrated.”

Also paying tribute to Cadogan were Speaker of the National Assembly, Dr. Barton Scotland and Clerk of the National Assembly, Sherlock Issacs, while tributes were paid through songs, scripture readings and sermon.

Minister of Natural Resources, Raphael Trotman, Minister within the Ministry of Communities with responsibility for Housing, Valerie Patterson- Yearwood, Minister within the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Karren Cummings, Members of Parliament among others were in attendance.

Extending sympathies on behalf of the Opposition was Julian Burton.

The service was held at the Christian Fellowship Tabernacle on Church Street, South Cummingsburg
