Minister Henry reiterated government’s commitment towards the development of Guyanese youths through sport, culture and education.

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has been working to ensure that grounds are readily available to members of various communities across the nation. Director of Sport Christopher Jones said visits are ongoing for the NSC’s mapping process of creating a cluster system.

The cluster system is one whereby the commission is working to have a central ground in each district so that more than one community can benefit. $150M was allocated for the grounds project in the 2017 National Budget.
