GWI distributes 270 ‘hot meals’ in Regions 4 & 6

In the holiday spirit of giving, Guyana Water Incorporated on Tuesday, 29th December, 2020 hosted its first ever Holiday Hot Meal activities in Central Georgetown, Region Four and New Amsterdam, Berbice, Region Six.

This saw 150 hot meals and beverages being distributed in the capital city and 120 hot meals and beverages distributed in Berbice. 

Minister of Housing and Water, Hon. Collin Croal and Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water, Hon. Susan Rodrigues joined the mobile GWI team and assisted in the distribution of the meals and beverages near the New Amsterdam market.

GWI’s team in Georgetown included Executive Director of Human Resources Management and Development, Mr. Elvis Jordon, Executive Director of Corporate Services, Mr. Nigel Niles and other staff. They distributed the meals in the vicinity of the Bourda market. 

The initiative is a collaboration between the Company, Management and Board of Directors, who have given generously to make it a success.
