─ Warriors dismantle Tridents to claim third straight win

The Amazon Warriors continued their perfect start to the tournament by dismantling the Barbados Tridents making it three wins from three games.
The Warriors posted a mammoth score of 180 runs which proved to be too much for the visiting Tridents in front of a roaring sea of yellow and green supporters.
The victory over the Tridents was set up beautifully by Chanderpaul Hemraj who is becoming a force to be reckoned in the Caribbean Premier League. The young Guyanese batsmen came out the blocks firing; continuing the onslaught he started the night before. He scored a masterful 63 runs off 55 balls that included six fours and three sixes.
Hemraj kept the game alive for the Warriors who seemed to have been struggling after losing three early wickets and having posted 63 runs at the end of the tenth over. Nevertheless, Hemraj kept the scoreboard ticking over; playing alongside Nicholas Pooran before losing his wicket in the sixteenth over.
Pooran and Rutherford continued the offensive on the Tridents bowlers smashing them for 72 runs off the last four overs. That is after having a mere 108 runs at the beginning of the seventeenth over.
Rutherford smashed Captain of the Tridents Jason Holder for consecutive sixes in the eighteenth over setting the tone of what followed in overs 19 and 20 by Pooran. The nineteenth over saw Pooran hitting the ball with pure power and precision, smashing Roshon Primus for two sixes and a four. The was followed by three huge sixes in the last over ripping to shreds the bowling of Raymon Reifer.
When the Tridents took the field to chase down the total, things quickly went bad following the loss of dominant batsman Alex Hales off the spin attack of Hemraj.
Shadab Khan continued to bamboozle batsmen with the ball picking up two early wickets inside the power play. Even Captain Shoaib Malik chipped in, picking up the wicket of Johnathan Carter in his one over putting even more pressure on the Tridents. Kemo Paul also picked up the crucial wicket of JP Duminy.
The early wickets left the Tridents in shambles with 77 runs for the loss of six wickets and a growing run rate of over 10 runs an over.
Ashley Nurse and Primus tried to keep things alive for the Tridents. Nurse smashed three sixes in his 40 from 25 balls.
However, Romario Shepherd did the hard work at the back end picking up the wickets of Nurse and Reifer missing out on a hat trick.
At that stage, it was all over for the Tridents who were 120 for 8 at the end of the fifteenth over. Shepherd picked up his third wicket off Primus who was caught in the deep and eventually wrapped up the match rocking the stumps of Sandeep Lamichhane to give Guyana a hat-trick from their first three home games. He finished the match with four wickets giving away a mere 13 runs.
