The Communications Officer will produce and disseminate information on national sectorial policies, programs and projects through the print and electronic media. Possess excellent verbal and written skills in English language.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • – Ensure that coverage of assignments is provided; to the sector you are assigned
  • – Ensure that both print and TV features are done on assignments covered
  • – Quality Control
  • – Check all scripts for news and other programs
  • – Produce and disseminate information on national sectorial policies, relating to developmental projects to the national print, broadcasting and electronic media on a daily basis
  • – Produce radio programs
  • – Conduct Interviews with Government Officials

Job Specification

  • – A Bachelors degree in Communications studies
  • – A Diploma in communication studies with a minimum of two-year experience
  • – Three-year experience in similar field

As a film or video editor, you’ll be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that’s suitable for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics and special effects. This is a key role in the post-production process and your skills can determine the quality and delivery of the final product. You’ll usually work closely with the Communications Officer to achieve the desired end result.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • – Using industry standard non-linear editing software to compile, edit and produce video packages for Newscasts, documentaries, commercials and features
  • – Ingesting and correctly cataloguing raw footage captured by videographer
  • – Using additional editing software to enhance footage using color correction techniques and audio software to make minor adjustments

Job Specification

  • – Proven work experience as a video editor
  • – Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut)
  • – Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
  • – Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
  • – Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing a plus
  • – Creative mind and storytelling skills

The applicant will be required to work on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity.

You’ll work with the director or supervisor to develop creative ideas and concepts.

The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time and deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • – Meet with clients or the art director to determine the scope of a project
  • – Advise on strategies to reach a particular audience
  • – Determine the message the design should portray
  • – Create images that identify a product or convey a message
  • – Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites
  • – Select colors, images, text style, and layout
  • – Present the design to director
  • – Incorporate changes recommended by the Superior into the final design
  • – Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them

Job Specification

  • – Proven graphic designing experience
  • – Possession of creative flair, versatility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
  • – Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • – Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas
  • – Up to date with industry-leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop etc)
  • – Highly proficient in all design aspects
  • – Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
