Lethem Town Week delegates pay courtesy call on Min. Norton 

DPI, Guyana, Thursday, September 20, 2018

Delegates of the 2018 Lethem Town Week Pageant and reigning Queen Aaliyah Anthony today paid a courtesy call on Minister of Social Cohesion, Dr. George Norton at his Main Street office. The delegates will take to the stage in Lethem on October 19 where they will vie for the Miss Lethem crown.

The delegates are Patricia James, Luana Primus, Faylaika Charles, Pricilla Licruz, Shaliza Yarde and Ashanti Williams. En route to the coveted Miss Lethem Crown, each delegate will use their platforms to influence change in addressing various social ills and advocating for youth development.

Minister Norton congratulated the young ladies for representing their hometown and wished much success in the upcoming pageant. The minister also committed to attending the event and lending his support to the delegates.

Lethem Town Week is an annual event which is in its second year and aims to showcase the unique offerings of Lethem and the overall diversity of the Rupununi. This year, the activities will be held under the theme “Celebrating Transformation, Diversity and Uniqueness in 2018”.
