Linden New Year’s baby showered with gifts

DPI, Guyana, Wednesday, January 2, 2019

The first baby to be born at the Linden Hospital Complex (LHC) in 2019, was showered with gifts from the Linden business community as part of their first ‘giving back’ venture for the new year.

Baby girl, Quinn Jones, was born at 10:50 hrs on Wednesday. Her parents Ronetta and Quincy Jones received hampers for their little angel from Rubigee’s Pharmacy, ‘Babies R Us’ and Republic Bank’s Linden Branch. The entities have been annually donating Hampers to Linden’s first New Year’s Baby.

While Quinn was the New Year’s Baby for LHC, on Christmas day, three healthy, beautiful bundles of joy were also delivered at the hospital. A baby boy who was born to Angelica John from Bamia, Linden Soesdyke Highway at 00: 35hrs, followed by a baby girl welcomed at 16:30hrs by her mother Elester George of Kuru Kuru, also located on the Linden Soesdyke Highway and at 17:53hrs another baby girl was born, this time, to Jeneila Scott.

The babies, who are all full term, and have since been released from the hospital. The nurses, doctors and midwives of the LHC, are looking forward to providing continued midwifery, ante-natal and postnatal services to their patients in 2019
