This song is wedding inspired which captures the “Dulahin”, meaning bride, final happy moments as she leaves her parent’s home.

She explained to the Department of Public Information (DPI) that her decision to enter the competition was merely through the support of family and friends who encouraged her to participate. The first-timer noted that though she is confident in the dancing aspect, her vocals are where she will shine.

“My brother [Bunty] won the title of Chutney Monarch but I am mostly into the dancing but they are the ones would tell me to go ahead and participate because I have the voice to do it… I want to also thank Vanita Willie for her assistance in the songwriting aspect and pushing me to go ahead… So, I said that women can do it,” Amrita said.

She urged all persons interested in the competition to come out and support the contestants, as they are hardworking and dedicated to the competition.

This year’s Chutney Monarch will take home $1M, while the runner-up will receive $600,000, those in third and fourth place will receive $400,000 and $200,000, respectively.
