Minister Garrido-Lowe spreads Christmas cheer to Moruca children

GINA, GUYANA, Monday, December 19, 2016

Minister within the Ministry of Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs, Valerie Garrido-Lowe, over the weekend treated young children of Moruca with gifts and other treats.

The Minister visited the Region One community to spread Christmas cheer to nearly 100 children on behalf of the Ministry of Natural Resources.

“I wish you all the very best for this Christmas, and of course a prosperous, healthy and wealthier New Year,” the Minister told residents before distributing gifts and treats.

In the spirit of Christmas, and the tradition of giving, Government has been spreading festive cheer. The President, Prime Minister and Ministers of Government have been  visiting the Regions, hosting Christmas parties and distributing gifts to children.
