Minister Sarabo-Halley on unofficial visit to Middle East

Department of Public Service, Press Release

Public Service Minister Tabitha Sarabo-Halley and her family earlier today departed for an unofficial visit to the Middle East.

The trip, which will see the Minister along with her family and church members visiting Israel and Egypt, was planned and executed by the church she attends.

“As a firm believer of transparency and accountability I believe that I should state publicly that the tour will conclude later this month,” Minister Sarabo-Halley stated.

The Minister acknowledges that it is a peculiar time at which to be absent from her ministry and by extension the country. She however explained, “while I am very aware that we are at a crucial point in our political history these plans were made with my church family before the no confidence motion and subsequent changes in government, and could not be set aside.”

All costs related to this visit are borne by the Minister in her private capacity.
