The cadet officers were all presented with hampers by the Regional Administration for their stay in the Riverain area and they will be accommodated in the living quarters located in the three areas.

The Ministry of Education’s cadet training programme recruits trainees who are attached to different districts for 18 months; after which they will serve in various areas such as District Education Officers, Subject Specialists and Test Development Officers, among others.

This programme aims to foster dynamic leaders and was designed so that there is no shortage of trained education personnel in each district. It started in 1996 then continued in 2008, 2009, 2015 and 2019 with every year seeing a significant increase in cadets.
