Miss World Guyana 2017 pays courtesy call on President Granger

Georgetown, Guyana – (August 23, 2017) President David Granger, today, received a courtesy call from reigning Miss World Guyana, Ms. Vena Mookram, at State House.

The 18-year-old East Bank Demerara resident outshone nine other contestants on June 25, 2017 to take home the crown.  She believes that the Miss World Guyana platform will boost her self-confidence and help her to become a better role model for young people everywhere.
