“Our children are very important, and the reason why I chose the nursery school is because these children will be our new crop, they need to know that school is very important, a place that they should feel happy to come, they should love their teachers and enjoy what they are doing so,” she said.

The former teacher who has over 30 years experience in the field said the outreach to the school is something in which the Nagamootoo family has always been engaged. “We have been doing this regardless if I am holding public office or not, I have always done things for our children and also support our teachers.”

During the visit to the schools, Mrs. Nagamootoo distributed books and crayons to the pupils. Teaching aids were also provided to the teachers of the schools.
