NO excuse, explanation

Min Ramson Jr. on slaying of the two Berbice teenagers

offers condolences to the family

“There can be NO excuse, explanation, or justification for this kind of brutality, and it will NOT be tolerated. This kind of brutality, or any brutality for that matter, has no place in our Guyanese family and must be condemned by all.” This is the view expressed by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Hon. Charles Ramson Jr. on his Facebook page on the two slain Berbice teenagers, 18-year-old Joel and 16-year-old Isaiah Henry.

“His Excellency President Mohammed Irfaan Ali has already assured that no effort will be spared in bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice… we are Guyanese, we belong to each other, we must protect each other, we must support each other, because we are a family,” the Minister added, as he urged citizens of Guyana to refrain from discussions which can denigrate the characters of the slain teens.

The Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport added that the nation’s youths are the future hence it is important to protect, guide and support them.

All Guyanese must learn to appreciate that we are Guyanese, we belong to each other, we must protect each other, we must support each other, because we are a family. We all have the responsibility to learn and teach this lesson – Be your brother’s keeper,” he added.
