One more COVID-19 recovery

—No new COVID-19 cases recorded; total remains at 127

The Ministry of Public is reporting another COVID-19 recovery taking the number to 58.

No new COVID-19 cases have been reported today which means the number of persons testing positive for the novel coronavirus remains at 127 this is inclusive of 10 deaths.

To date, 1,401 tests have been conducted yielding 1,274 negative results

Fifty-nine active cases remain in isolation at various facilities across Guyana while 4 critical patients are currently in the COVID-19 ICU at the GPHC and another 5 are in quarantine.

Residents of Cornelia Ida in Region 3 and Diamond in Region 4 are reminded that the MOPH COVID-19 mobile testing unit will soon be visiting their communities.

Meanwhile, citizens are asked to always practice social distancing in the workplace, public spaces, and while using public transportation to reduce the spread of the coronavirus diseases.

The total number of cases globally is 5,105,881 with 333,446 deaths while in the Region of the Americas the total number of cases is 2,282,488 with 135,184 deaths.
