Over $2.3B approved for Supreme Court

The amount of $2,308,882,000 was this evening approved for the Supreme Court of Judicature as current and capital expenditures for the period ending December 31, 2019.
Minister of Finance, Winston Jordan said the recommended amount was arrived at taking into consideration the economic outlook for 2019 and government’s ability to borrow, projected oil revenues, among other factors
Contrary to the opposition’s suggestion, Minister Jordan said the amount represents an increase and not a decrease in allocation in comparison to the two previous years.
The amount was approved by majority vote.
