President Granger to return on Tuesday

-PM tells 99th Sitting of the national assembly

Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, who is performing the functions of Head of State, has informed the National Assembly that President David Granger will return to Guyana on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

President Granger is currently in Cuba receiving medical treatment for Non- Hodgkin Lymphoma, which he was diagnosed with on Thursday, November 1.

According to Prime Minister Nagamootoo, doctors will continue to monitor the President even as he returns home.

The President, from Cuba, has thanked the nation for their prayers and support during this time. He has also thanked the Heads of State who have reached out to him and sent best wishes for a speedy recovery.
