Press release – Works undertaken to boost water supply in Belle West Housing Scheme

Friday, November 6, 2020: Chief Executive Officer of GWI Mr. Shaik Baksh and a technical team paid a visit to the Belle West Housing scheme, West Bank Demerara on Thursday, November 5 to meet with residents who complained about no water service in the southern part of the scheme.

The residents were informed that the distribution network needed re-balancing with the adjustment of underground valves at several sections, including at the pumping station, which was done on November 6.  Residents can now look forward an improved supply of water service.
