Prime Minster Meets with Carter Centre team

Prime Minister and First Vice President, Hon. Moses Nagamootoo, today met with a visiting team from the Carter Center.

Talks with the Carter Center team focused on the accuracy of the voters’ list, the mediation role the Carter Center could fill for discussions between political leaders and technical support that the Carter Center is equipped to provide to the Guyana Elections Commission.

The Carter Center team included Brett Lacy, Associate Director of The Carter Center’s Democracy Program and Anne Marlborough, Legal and Electoral Advisor to The Carter Center.

The Hon. Prime Minister noted that the Carter Center has done good work in Guyana and welcomed their mediation and technical support going forward.
