The Management of the Guyana/Suriname Ferry Service wishes to notify the general public that MB Sandaka willnot be sailing to Suriname today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 as was mentioned in an earlier public notice today.

At this juncture, Guyana is willing to facilitate this journey but Surinamese officials have indicated that they will not be reopening their South Drain Port until all necessary quarantine facilities are put in place to receive Suriname Nationals and individuals with Surinamese resident stamps.

It is with deep regret that we reiterate that the Guyana/Suriname Ferry Suriname will remain closed until further notice. 

The Management of the Guyana/Suriname Ferry Service will inform the general public as soon as the date and time are confirmed to depart Guyana.
