Region One communities receive boat engines

Minister within the Ministry of Communities Dawn Hastings- Williams, Ministerial Advisor, Mervyn Williams, Region One Chairman, Brentnol Ashley, Chairman of the Unity Square Community Development Council (CDC), Richard Anthony and members of the CDC following the handing over of a 40- horse power engine to the community.  Unity Square is a small riverain community in Region One of approximately 90 residents.

Ministerial Advisor Mervyn Williams presents a 15- horse power engine to Toshao of St. Anslem Village, Hilary Sam. St Anslem is a riverine community in the Mabaruma sub- district, Region One. The St. Anslem community has approximately 455 residents and the engine and the community’s boat will be used to transport pensioners to uplift their pension, school children to school and for medical emergencies.
