Seventeen Guyanese Chevening scholars to depart next month
– Oil and Gas Law, Economics, Public Health studies to be pursued

Seventeen Guyanese will depart next month for the United Kingdom to complete various programmes of study at several universities after they were awarded Chevening Scholarships.
The British High Commission in Guyana last evening hosted a reception for the Guyanese and a lone Surinamese.
They were urged, by British High Commissioner Greg Quinn, to take full advantage of the opportunity and upon completion, utilise their skills for the development of their respective countries.
Yesterday, he informed the media that some $128Million is being invested by the UK government to sponsor the scholarships, therefore it is expected that the new skills will be used for the advancement of Guyana and Suriname.
