Three new Multipurpose Complex to be constructed in Reg 2,6 and 10
Athletes will soon benefit from the construction of three Multipurpose Complexes in Region 2 (Pomeroon-Supenaam),6 (East Berbice-Corentyne) and 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) to help in the development of Sport in Guyana.
This was announced by His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, on Monday, during a press conference held at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre (ACCC).
This approach taken by the government, the President noted, will not only continue to support the growth and development of young people, but helps in identifying new talents.
It will also help to boost the hopes of athletes with the ongoing works of the Synthetic Tracks in Regions 6 and 10.
Since his appointment, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport, Hon. Charles Ramson Jr. promised a bright future for athletes, as the new administration plans to holistically reshape sports, thus broadening Guyanaās spectrum for the future.
This will be through a collaborative effort between various agencies.
