Vote like a boss on Monday – Min. Lawrence

Political parties in the country wrapped up their campaigning on Saturday, in preparation for Regional and General Elections on Monday, March 2.

In what can be described as a “last lap”, parties engaged Guyanese urging that Monday’s elections are not taken lightly, as they are crucial in deciding the future of the country.

The APNU+AFC coalition held its final rally at D’Urban Park, Georgetown.

The lineup of final campaign speakers included; Presidential Candidate, His Excellency, President David Granger, Minister of Public Security and Prime Ministerial Candidate, the Hon Khemraj Ramjattan and Minister of Public Health, the Hon. Volda Lawrence.

First, to address the mammoth crowd, Minister Lawrence urged the thousands gathered in support of the coalition administration, to ensure they are up early and ready to vote on Monday.

“Don’t sleep away, get up early and go to your various polling stations and you know what, vote like a boss,” She emphasised.

The Minister also told supporters their vote for the coalition on Monday ensures the continued development of the country and for every Guyanese.

“When you would have done that, we are going to ensure that all of us, David G (President David Granger) and us moving forward together.” Minister Lawrence declared.

She said in the last four years, the coalition ensured development in every sector of the country.

“Roads, water, light, schools, transportation, health facilities, magistrate courts here there and everywhere, don’t stop the progress.” The Public Health Minister urged.

Adding that government also decentralised much of its services to ensure that Guyanese everywhere had easy access.  “Don’t stop the progress.” Minister Lawrence urged.
