“We are here to deliver”- Minister Bishop Edghill

Georgetown, Guyana – Thursday, August 6, 2020

The newly appointed Minister of Public Works (MoPW) Honourable Bishop Juan Edghill today met with the various heads of agencies within the Ministry when he pointed out that himself and Minister within the Ministry of Public Works Honourable Deodat Indar “are here to deliver”.

Minister Bishop Edghill cautioned his staff to be “brutally frank” with him and to operate in an environment of communication. Moreover, he advised the heads of agencies against “dragging of feet” on the job.

Meanwhile, Honourable Deodat Indar told the staff not to be intimidated as the leadership team seeks to perform better than the previous administration. He said that, “We have to work together to deliver to the people.”

The Honourable Minister added that the President of Guyana, His Excellency Dr. Irfaan Ali campaigned for a transformational agenda for infrastructure that we have to make a reality.
