The Central Housing and Planning Authority has indicated that it will be returning to the National Track and Field Centre at Edinburgh, West Coast of Demerara (Region 3) on May 2 from 10:00hrs to 17:00hrs to cater to house lot allocations and applications.
Following the overwhelming response at the ‘Government comes to you’ outreach in Region 3 (Essequibo Islands-West Demerara) on Sunday, April 28, the department has extended its services, once more, to further address the needs of residents.
Majority of the persons who attended the outreach on Sunday flocked the CH&PA’s booth to either follow-up on their decade-old applications or make a new application. Some of them arrived as early as 05:30hrs to ensure they were first in line to have their issues addressed.
The outreach, which has been taken to several regions thus far, continues to see a tremendous turnout at the CH&PA’s booth, compared to that of other agencies participating in the activity.
Another ‘government comes to you’ outreach is slated for April 30 in Linden (Region 10). Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to have your issues raised and addressed. Minister Annette Ferguson who now holds the portfolio to head the housing sector will be present at the Wismar Market Square to address some of those concerns.
