Media Accreditation Form
The following person(s) may be eligible to receive media passes:
- Print and Electronic Media Representatives. You may be asked to submit originals of two (2) by-lined articles from the past four (4) months and a copy of the publication.
- Radio and TV Media Representatives. You may be asked to submit two recordings of reports from the past four (4) months.
- Photographers and Videographers. You may be asked to submit photos and (or) footage with credits of the client company.
Online media must meet the following requirements:
- The web publication must belong to a registered media organization, with a verifiable non-web address and telephone number.
- The online journal must have a substantial amount of original news content, commentary or analysis on newsworthy events.
- Applicants must have an established record of having written news pieces. You may be asked for copies of recently published articles with your by-line. These samples must be unaltered clippings or media content from a recognized organization.
All new and first-time applications will be vetted by The Guyana Press Association before approval.

Guidelines for Photograph(s)
- Full colour
- 2 x 2 inches (51 x 51 mm) in size – minimum (800×800 pixels)
- Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
- Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
- be a close-up of your full head and upper shoulders
- contain no other objects or people
- have your eyes open, visible and free from reflection or glare from glasses
- not have hair in front of your eyes
- not have a head covering (unless it’s for religious or medical reasons)
- Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
- Taken with a neutral facial expression (preferred) or a natural smile
- Clear and in focus
- Selfies, dark pictures, the use of filters, or other altering mechanisms on your pictures will cause it to be rejected and delay the processing of your application.
