Minister Rodrigues and other dignitaries were also presented with commemorative pieces of the ribbon to mark the historic occasion.

The event features a dynamic lineup of activities, including conferences, exhibitions, a fashion showcase, a Cigar and Fun Night, and business-to-business (B2B) engagements.

These are aimed at deepening collaboration across key sectors.

The initiative is expected to significantly enhance trade and investment prospects by creating direct linkages between Guyanese and Dominican businesses.

It also provides a platform for knowledge exchange in areas such as tourism development, agro-processing, and creative industries, supporting Guyana’s ongoing economic diversification agenda.

Dominican Republic Week underscores the growing partnership between the two nations and sets the stage for sustained cooperation, increased private sector engagement, and expanded opportunities within the Caribbean and Latin American markets.
