Minister within the Ministry of Public Health, Dr. Karen Cummings on Saturday February 17, 2018 upon return from travel duties took the opportunity to visit an ailing Member of Parliament who has been admitted to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation on Friday, February 16, 2018 after reporting ill to the health facility.
Currently recovering in the Intensive Care Unit of the tertiary heath institution is Member of Parliament Rajcoomarie Gloria Bancroft, a regional advocate for Region Eight sitting on the government benches in the National Assembly.
Out of concern Minister Cummings thought it best to render some sort of support to her colleague and to ensure that the MP is assured of the optimum service she will receive at the GPHC. Minister Cummings believes that MP Bancroft will recover in a timely manner to be able to return to her duties as a regional advocate.
MP Brancroft is currently under observation after she has experience severe diabetic complications. Her attending physician, Dr. John Anderson, he noted that “she is doing quite well,” she is being monitored and will continue to carry out the necessary procedures to ensure that MP Bancroft recovers well.
