“Our relations have been enhanced through the treaty on basic relations between the government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and the government of the Russian Federation,” he added.
Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Guyana, Alexander Kurmaz expressed similar sentiments as President Granger. He stated that the relations are based on the principles of mutual respect, and non-interference into each other’s affairs.
“We share common approaches to a number of issues on the global agenda and we look forward to expand our corporation on a bilateral level but also international mechanisms,” he continued.
