Government releases list of candidates
–Min. Amna Ally heralds list as “strongest list” of any party.

As Nomination Day 2020 unfolded, the coalition Government A Partnership for National Unity and the Alliance for Change (APNU+AFC) has released its list of candidates after submission to GECOM.
The list contains several fresh young faces as well as candidates with significant political and government experience.
It includes the likes of Roysdale Forde, one of the key Attorneys-at-Law representing the Government for the December 21 vote case, Youth for Change (YFC) President Juretha Fernandes along with Janelle Christian and Kidackie Amsterdam.
The party remains confident that its list is a strong one and has fulfilled all the requirements set out by the Elections Commission.
President David Granger along with Minister of Public Security and Prime Ministerial Candidate Khemraj Ramjattan are the head and deputy head of the list respectively.
Set for March 2, thirteen parties will be contesting the General Elections.
