Chile President congratulates President Ali

 — expresses desire to strengthen ties    

His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana, has received a congratulatory letter from President of the Republic of Chile, His Excellency Sebastien Pinera Echenique, who expressed a desire to strengthen the ties between the two countries.

In his letter, President Pinera said it is important that the two countries strengthen cooperation, particularly as the continent grapples with the adverse effects of the Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

“At a time when the COVID-19 pandemic and its negative economic effects have hit our continent hard, it is most necessary to reinforce the dialogue and cooperation between our countries. That is why I expressed my full will and willingness to work together to deepen the ties between Chile and Guyana,” the President said.

President Pinera also extended best wishes for President Ali’s good success in the high office that the nation has entrusted him, and assured him of his “highest and distinguished consideration”.
