Human Services Minister gets familiarised with operations of various departments

Minister of Human Services and Social Security, Hon, Dr. Vindhya Persaud, on Tuesday afternoon, met with managers at the Ministry’s Water and Cornhill Street location.
During her visit, the Minister held discussions with the staff and familiarised herself with the operations of the various departments.
The Departments and Units housed in the Ministry building are the Office of the Director of Social Services, Probation and Social Services, Management and Information Services, Documentation Center, Gender Affairs Bureau, Counter and Trafficking in persons; Difficult Circumstances and Sexual and Domestic Violence.
Last Friday, Minister Persaud met her staff at the Ministry’s headquarters in Lamaha Street, Georgetown.
The newly-appointed PPP/C Government Ministers have been on the ground, familiarising themselves with their sectors and enquiring about challenges with the aim of better serving the people.
