Matthews Ridge without electricity since March
– ¾ Minister Edghill expresses shock, instructs urgent resolution

Chairman of Region One, Brentnol Ashley, along with his Vice-Chairman, Sarah Browne, paid a visit to Minister of Public Works, Hon. Bishop Juan Edghill, to discuss the matters emanating in Matthews Ridge, Region One, with specific emphasis on the supply of electricity.
During the brief meeting, Minister Edghill expressed shock in receiving the news that Matthews Ridge has been without electricity since March of 2020.

“Notwithstanding the issues of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the Ministry of Public Health safety guidelines, this matter should have already been resolved.”
Further, the Minister assured the Chairman and Vice-Chairman that since they have made representation today, action will be taken to resolve the matter assiduously.
Additionally, Minister Edghill has instructed his team at the Hinterland Electrification Company Inc. to make contact with the engineers/mechanics on the ground to immediately have the engines up and running as he would like the people to regain their power supply tonight.
