Commander ‘C’ Division outreach in ‘C’ and ‘D’ Fields, Sophia

Commander ‘C’ Division, Senior Superintendent Calvin Brutus and his administrative team yesterday held a “Walkabout” in ‘C’ and ‘D’ Fields, Sophia respectively.

During the outreach, Commander Brutus spoke with several residents and business owners who voiced several concerns for the need for an increase of police presence in various areas of the community and the markets as well as regular patrols, the residents also raised their concern over noise nuisance in the community.

The residents and business owners were all thankful for the timely visit from the Commander and his team. Commander Brutus assured the residents that these exercises will be continuous within the Division to ensure that persons are safe in their communities.

Other concerns by the resident are as follows:

– Increase in police mobile and foot patrols.

– The need for faster response time.

– Criminal elements from neighbouring villages.

– More regular visits by Senior Officers.

– Seeking a printer for the community centre.

Meanwhile, Commander Brutus in noting the residents’ concerns, assured them that he will donate the printer during another planned visit next week.
