GNBS clarifies calibration of speed guns and breathalysers

With reference to a news report article published by News Room on December 04, 2020 “GNBS unable to calibrate breathalyser kits, speed guns; now sourcing equipment.”

The Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) through its Public Relations Officer Mr. Lloyd David on Friday, December 04 via a telephone conversation clarified to one of their news reporters that for the first year or two years these devices do not need calibration since it comes with a calibration certificate which is valid for the time frame.

In addition, the GNBS is in no way implying that the devices used by the Guyana Police Force (GPF) are inaccurate or out of calibration.
