Guyana’s future is secure under Coalition – AG Williams

“Your future is guaranteed and your children’s future is guaranteed”, this message was delivered to dozens of residents from West, North and South Ruimveldt, and surrounding city wards who attentively listened to Minister of Legal Affairs and Attorney General Basil Williams SC.
During a community engagement at Well Road, South Ruimveldt Park AG Williams’ posited that he would pilot a constitutional amendment which, similar to that of the United States, which would guarantee, every Guyanese, “a right to happiness.” He explained this right would entail, “being able to take care of your family. Take care of your children. When you’re working, you must be able to go on vacation. You must be able to buy a motorcycle, or a car, for your children if they perform well. We have to have a change in society.”
The Attorney General reminded residents of the need to unite and embrace each other as he cited the formation of the Social Cohesion Ministry for this specific purpose, “to bring us all together.”
He noted that the current Coalition government’s leadership Guyanese are proud again to be identified as such, recalling the “Guyanese benches” at Trinidad and Tobago’s Piarco and the Barbados’ Grantly Adams Airports. “Those days are done! And whoever wishes to come home, let them come… We have enough wealth to take care of everybody.”
The Attorney General reminded attendees to ensure that they are on the Registered List of Electors.
