DPI, Guyana, Saturday, April 4, 2020

Jasper Ramcharran, owner of Tony’s Auto Spares and his team have joined the list of private entities pitching in to do their part to stop the transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country.

Ramcharan and team distributed hand sanitizers, soaps and vitamin B supplements to residents living in communities near his business located at La Ressouvenir, East Coast Demerara.

“The reason we chose to do this, is because we realised that many Guyanese are out of reach of basic sanitisers and many of them cannot afford because it is expensive, which pushed us to do our part in whatever little way we can,” Ramcharran stated.

He further emphasised the need for collaboration to help those who cannot get access to the basic needs required to fight COVID-19.

“I would like to urge other businesses to get on board and give back to their communities. It does not have to be large quantity but small acts like what I am doing can safeguard a household” Ramcharran said.
